Byfaith Cattery
About Us

We are a very small in-home cattery situated in Beautiful Simcoe Ontario Canada and it all started with a beautiful retired neutered boy called Shadow.

I found Shadow advertised in the newspaper and jumped at the chance to own a bengal.  So excited to bring him home and after a time of re-adjustment issues Shadow very slowly came around and decided he wanted to stay.  He had been raised in a cage all his life so it took a bit of time and patience for Shadow to feel at home which he eventually did.

I have Beautiful registered cats purchased as breeders.  Beware of people buying a Bengal as a pet and breeding without the rights to breed. Beware of Bengals posted as Bengals which really are not but they are part Bengal and something else. If you can not afford a Purebred Bengal and you wish a cat that is part Bengal please check out http://www.petfinder.com  and purchase a rescue part Bengal rather then supporting an unethical breeder. You may also be able to find a purebred rescue Bengal here. A great site to check out before purchasing a pet http://www.adopt-a-pet-you-will-love.com/index.html  Please make sure that if you wish to purchase a Purebred Bengal that you buy one from someone who does have registered cats and has bought them AS BREEDERS also that you are able to get papers for the one that you buy. If you are told that the cats are cheaper because they do not have papers - this is not why they are cheaper as the cost for the papers is small. Please make sure that if you are not buying your cat/kitten from the original breeder that who ever is selling this cat/kitten to you has the permission of the original breeder VERY IMPORTANT to check this out. Do not go cheaper where health is concerned either as I am sure that you desire a healthy pet. My kittens are not cheaper because they have not been vet checked etc. or because they have no papers. I would never let a kitten go unprotected..

I have purchased my breeding cats from great catteries and having a great pedigree and have put a great deal of money into them but rest assure that my cost to you for a kitten will be fair pricing and not some outragious price that you may find elsewhere for a kitten of the same quality. Most breeders do try and keep their prices fair as to not undercut fellow Breeders.. or to over charge customers -

Breeding these Beautiful cats is a hobby for me and not a way to make money. Whatever money I do get all goes back into the cats to care for and feed them - I do not take their money and eat steak and throw them some scrapes
(Or take your money and buy myself a mansion) NO, it is more like they get the steak and I get the bread LOL  and the bills :-) Breeding cats takes money and time and commitment and when little ones are coming you need to be prepared to be up the whole night through most often. Breeding can also be so very heartbreaking at times and there are times when you just feel like giving up.

There are also times of great joy that these cats, and kittens can bring you...they can make you laugh....and they can make you cry. They (the breeding adults) can drive you up a wall with their calling to each other etc... I have said that people who breed are either crazy or soon will be :-)
More to come as time purrmitts :-)
